Access to Work Grant for practical support if you have a disability, health or mental health condition
Last updated: 21/11/2023
An Access to Work grant helps pay for practical support if you have a disability, health or mental health condition so you can:
- a grant to help pay for practical support with your work
- support with managing your mental health at work
- money to pay for communication support at job interviews
How much you get depends on your circumstances. The money doesn’t have to be paid back and will not affect your other benefits. There is no set amount for an Access to Work grant. How much you get depends on your circumstances. Your employer must make certain changes (known as ‘reasonable adjustments’) to make sure you’re not substantially disadvantaged when doing your job.
