Torch Help Hub

Last updated: 17/10/2023

Torch is run by volunteers from local churches to provide a helping hand to those who otherwise cannot get help and tend to fall through the gaps of existing support or provision.

We offer a wide range of free personal and practical help as well as signposting to others with specialist expertise or local support groups you can go to.

- Urgent Help
- Enhanced Wellbeing
- Confidence Building

- Advocacy
- Practical Tasks
- Personal Help

Our online Community Support Hub has information on the events, activities and help available from local churches and Christian charities to support the local community.

Service access criteria: We aim to support anyone who has an unmet need and no means of getting help to resolve the issue within greater Reading and the surrounding area. We expect referrers and clients to have exhausted all available means of support and there to be no financial means to pay for help. We do not seek to take on requests that can be met by other organisations.
