The centre will provide the best possible service for the children in their care and for parents/carers. We therefore will provide parents/carers with a means of making a complaint. General 9 How will I know my child is safe using this service
The centre recognises it has a duty to ensure arrangements are in place for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children . The centre ensures we practice safe recruitment in checking suitability of staff and volunteers to work with children including full DBS checks on all staff and volunteers. Health and Safety is a major priority and both buildings and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained.

Stay and Play – Calcot and Theale
Informal play session for carers, parents and children under 4years. This is an opportunity for you and your child to meet other parents and children while exploring a range of play and craft activities to support your child’s learning and development. Newbies – Calcot and Burghfield
An informal drop in group for parents, carers and babies under 1 years old. Breastfeeding support is available at these groups.
Other sessions which can be in a group or virtual include toilet learning, introducing solids, postnatal and antenatal, baby massage, wellbeing groups and support groups for parents/carers of children with SEN.
Breastfeeding support is available 1:1 on request.
Family Learning courses are run on selected dates throughout the year including Cooking and Nutrition, Boost ( Self-esteem and self-confidence) and Parenting.

For families who require extra support 1:1 support from a Family Support Worker is available.

The East Family Hub provides services, activities, support and information for families who have children aged from 0-19.
We provide experiences which take account of, and respond to, the child’s developmental needs and which allow each child to make progress related to his/her own abilities.
The hub is committed to the inclusion of all children and has regard for the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA).
Provision for children with special educational needs is a matter for everyone in the setting. The staff will work in order to enable each child to meet their full potential and endeavour to give each family the support they need.
