The Watermill Theatre: Accessible Performances and Participation

The Watermill Theatre welcome you to Accessible Performances, especially designed for guests with additional needs and their companions.

Guests with additional needs are always welcome at The Watermill, to any performance, and if there is anything staff can do to make your visit more enjoyable, please get in touch.

The Watermill Theatre also offers a programme of participation activities for young people and adults with additional needs, get in touch to find out more or to share your ideas.

Familiarisation Visits
For many of us, trying something new, with new people, in a new place, can be daunting. Our familiarisation visits are a chance to meet Lixi, the group facilitator, and have a short tour of the theatre and facilities with her. If you would like to book a visit, please us the contact details below.

  • General 1 Is your service accessible, consider in general terms how you make your service accessible, in addition to any specific premises issues

    Please feel free to contact us in advance to discuss your / your child's specific needs and we will do our best to work with you to resolve any access issues.

    Some of our performances or participation opportunities are especially appropriate for particular needs. We are always happy to advise families.

  • General 9 How will I know my child is safe using this service

    All of our participation facilitators are DBS checked and observe safeguarding best practice. If you have any concerns about your experience at any time you are welcome to contact us.
