We generally meet clients in their homes or at a suitable public venue such as a cafe. -

We aim to support anyone within the greater Reading area, including as far as Theale, who has an unmet need and no means of getting help to resolve the issue. We expect referrers and clients to have exhausted other available means of support and there to be no financial means to pay for the help. We do not seek to take on requests that can be better met by other organisations.
When completing the referral form section: "Additional referral details - What are the reasons for this referral?", please prioritise and select the most important reason. You can make a second referral if there is a another separate high priority reason for a referral. Please contact us directly on 0118 380 0260 if you have any queries. -

General 9 How will I know my child is safe using this service
All volunteers have the appropiate level of DBS and bespoke safeguarding training. All referrals are risk assesed to ensure they can be undertaken safely for all parties.
Torch Help Hub
Torch is run by volunteers from local churches to provide a helping hand to those who otherwise cannot get help and tend to fall through the gaps of existing support or provision.
We offer a wide range of free personal and practical help as well as signposting to others with specialist expertise or local support groups you can go to.

Our online Community Support Hub has information on the events, activities and help available from local churches and Christian charities to support the local community.
