Eight Bells is a free, mental health support group that provides friendship, support and a listening ear to people experiencing mental health issues, loneliness or isolation in Newbury, Thatcham and surrounding areas.  We support and empower members to lead independent and fulfilling lives. We are a member-led charity and put our members at the heart of everything we do.

Eight Bells provides support for over 100 people living across West Berkshire whose lives are affected by mental health issues. We offer a safe, supportive and welcoming environment at our drop-in sessions which are based close to Newbury Town Centre. Our friendly social sessions are open every Monday, Thursday, and Friday to help people with their mental well-being and overcome isolation and loneliness by meeting and connecting with others.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, stress or just need a place to be you, our group is here for you.
Our sessions are relaxed, informal and open to all. There is a wellbeing activity to take part in each day, from gardening to cookery, crafts to movement, which are free for all members.

Our members work together to organise days out and fundraising events.

Our Drop-In sessions are:

Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays 10 am to 4 pm.

Lunches are available every Monday and Thursday for a £1 contribution.

Free refreshments are available all day.
