Service is delivered to all adult patients (over 16) with a learning disability

The Learning Disability Liaison Nurse is a central contact at the hospital for families, service users, carers, community health and social welfare professionals and housing providers.

The LD liaison nurse:

• Facilitates reasonable adjustments for people with a learning disability who are using either in-patient or out-patient services at the hospital.
• Provides advice and support to staff within the hospital about how best to meet the needs of patients with a learning disability while they are using the services here.

There are a series of easy read leaflets available explaining some of the more common investigations that we do here and information also about some departments.
