Here at the Central Family Hub we offer a range of services and support

  • 1-1 support from a Family Support Worker, families can self-refer or be referred by a professional

  • A variety of groups running in the Hubs and in the local community, enabling children, parents/carers to take part in range of play-based activities to support early learning and development, socialise and build friendships

  • Family learning courses such as Boost, Parenting in the Early Years, Healthy Eating & Lifestyles

  • Antenatal, Postnatal, Breastfeeding and Baby Massage

  • Support with finding suitable provision and applying for 2yr & 30hr funding.

  • Friendly, qualified staff who will provide a listening ear to support your child's learning & development and parent/carer wellbeing

  • Signposting for information around employment, training, childcare

Description

 

The Family Hub provides services, activities, support and information for families who have children aged 0 - 19 (0-24 SEND), focusing on those families with children aged under 5

 

Provide experiences which take account of, and  respond to, the child’s developmental needs and which allow each child to make progress related to his/her own abilities.
The Family Hub is committed to the inclusion of all children and has regard for the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA). 

 

Provision for children with special educational needs is a matter for everyone in the setting.  The staff will work in order to enable each child to meet their full potential and endeavour to give each family the support they need.

The centre is accessible to wheelchair users and to those who have mobility issues, and our outreach services are similarly accessible (please contact us about outreach). Feedback and complaints procedure

The hub will provide the best possible service for the children in their care and for parents/carers. We therefore will provide parents/carers with a means of making a complaint. Our complaints procedures will follow the West Berkshire Council protocol. Please contact the Hub on 01635 503990.

How will I know my child will be safe using this service?

As a Local Authority building and service all staff have a duty to Safeguarding adults and children, undertaking the Safer recruitment process and Enhanced DBS for staff and volunteers

West Berkshire Council have strict Health and Safety standards which we follow and meet. The Building and equipment is regularly checked, cleaned and maintained.
