Autism Resource Provision – Trinity School

Last updated: 20/11/2023

Trinity is home to one of West Berkshire’s resource bases; the Autism Resource. This resource caters for students who have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) for Autism and, without specialist intervention would struggle in a mainstream school.

The Autism Resource hosts two classrooms, various meeting and small group rooms, a kitchen/common room, an office, a sensory room and a quiet zone. Within the Autism Resource there is a dedicated team of staff; currently one Teacher in Charge, one HLTA and Teaching Assistants. The Autism Resource has space for 15 students with a primary need of Autism. The students are supported by the staff to access the curriculum within mainstream lessons. They are also given a variety of supporting interventions within the Autism Resource such as life skills sessions, social skills sessions, esteem building and therapy.
