BWA (Berkshire Women's Aid)
Last updated: 03/02/2022
Helpline (0808 801 0882) is open between 9am and 5pm on weekdays, and 24-hour help is also available in emergencies using the same number.
The helpline is open to both survivors and professionals and provides callers with an opportunity to talk about their options and self refer for support. Callers can get information about support options relating to housing, legal and civil orders, financial support, and other services related to domestic abuse. They can also get help with somewhere safe to stay if they are too frightened to stay at home.
In addition to the helpline and refuge service, BWA also support people in West Berkshire through their Vulnerable Women's service and complex needs group work. People accessing the Vulnerable Women's service do not need to have experienced domestic abuse. Further information about these services can be found on the BWA website.
