I am a Childminder based in Chieveley, I currently have one space available. I have an OFSTED rating of GOOD at my recent Ofsted Inspection on 13th June 2022. My First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications were updated in July 2022. We have a lovely house and garden to ensure we have lots of fresh air each day. We love lots of outdoor type activities, bug hunts and exploring everything in the garden, cooking, arts and crafts!!

The setting will track a child's development using EYFS development guidelines and work with parents if they have any concerns.
Parents will be kept informed of any concerns and if required additional support can be sourced through SEN team at West Berkshire Council.
All children learn at different levels, learning and activities will be adapted in line with a child's age and capabilities of each child.
The setting would use teaching strategies in line with the needs of the child working with the parents/carers to ensure the best for the child, the setting would seek professional support from advisors with experience.

All children learn at different levels, learning and activities will be adapted in line with a child's age and capabilities of each child. Risk assessments would be done in terms of trips and activities and the setting would take into account every child's needs, so that everyone can participate.
Currently the setting is not wheelchair accessible but ramps could be provided if necessary. There is a downstairs cloakroom.
Children are fully supported in their transition to another setting or school. The learning journey will be passed to the new setting along with any information from outside support services such as SEN team.
The setting works closely with parents and if they have any concerns this is discussed. The setting is happy to work with other agencies to support the child and parents/carers. Evaluation questionnaires are shared regularly with parents/carers.

Little Handprints has good communication with parents, all communication is welcomed verbally in the first instance, feedback questionnaires are in place as well as a complaints policy.
