Friday Night Youth Club (Wickham,Newbury)

Friday Night Club; is a Youth Club for 6 - 14 year olds.

The Club is held at Wickham Village Hall every Friday except (Bank holidays) and two weeks a Christmas.

The Club has a NO electricals rule; therefore there are no computer games, no T.Vs,no mobile phones and no camera's allowed.

There is though a great amount of activities on offer each week.

There are table top activities; board games, chess, dominos, puzzles, construction, games such as guess who, hungry hippos,connect four, Top Trumps, magic set,  and many more favourites  

Floor games; twister, large Jenja, Skittles, short mat bowls, Floor ludo, snakes and ladders and floor dominos and much more

There is also an Arts and Crafts area at every session, including topical crafts ie: Christmas, Easter, Halloween etc.

We also have a fantastic range of sports equipment from skipping ropes, bats and balls, hoops, swing ball, circus skills and much much more

we play in side and out, as well as on the local Schools  playing field and at the Parish Park.

 Larger Sports equipment. Team building games, table tennis, pool (for over 10s), basket ball, short tennis, badminton and much more.

The Youth Club holds regular events, Disco's for Halloween and Christmas. We do one fundraiser a year for a Choosen Charity.

We have links to the local community, Newbury Library, Veolia, West Berks Council, Berkshire Youth and the SPLAT team.

Guest Speakers. We have regular guest speakers and parents who come into the club to give talks, play games and share resources. We have had The road safety team, Veolia, Authors, Emergency Services, dancers and nature workers.
