The Yume Project offers a wide range of day activities and services tailored to meet the needs of adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
Staff have developed particular expertise in a number of areas, these include challenging behaviour, complex physical needs, epilepsy, life skills, transition, arts and crafts, autistic spectrum disorder and dementia.
Additional activities are:
Arts and Crafts, Cooking Skills, Reflexology, Photography and Yoga, Communication Games (including Makaton), Community Access, Indoor Bowls, 10-pin Bowling.

- Costs vary from individual to individual, depending on that persons needs, such as one to one support. However, a basic day will be costed between £52 and £62

We encourage any new client to do a taster day, or half-day before committing to a regular weekly slot.

We welcome School and College Students (age 16+), during half-term and end-of-term holiday breaks, as a lead up to adult services.

The Yume Project provide day activities for adults and transition people with Learning Disabilities. We work from a number of community venues, such as village and church halls, across the Newbury and West Berkshire area.
Our staff are all fully trained and have many years of experience. The Yume Project ethos is to be person-centred, responding to the needs of clients. The Yume Project will support people to pursue their goals, and to be as independent as possible. The Yume Project have strong links with the community, including schools, libraries and churches.

General Provider
All premises and other venues used, are wheelchair accessible. The Yume Project are able to support with Personal Care.
All prospective clients are encouraged to have a taster session to ensure that what we offer is suited to them.
Parents or Social Care workers can refer. A discussion with a Manager to arrange a taster session, then the client to decide if The Yume Project activities are suitable for their needs.
Referrals and queries are normally answered within a few days. From there a taster session is offered, then if the client wishes to use the services a client details document is created, -on completion by client of that document and confirmation of client's funding information, the service can begin.
Charges start from £54 per day, or for one-to-one service, from £18 per hour. All charges are based on the individual client's needs. The Yume Project signpost parents/carers to get help from the relevant people at West Berkshire Council.

These will be replied to within 5 working days, and follow the company's Complaints Policy and Procedure. An Easy Read copy of this policy/procedure can be made available if needed.
