MOVEability seated exercise class at Hermitage Village Hall

A class suitable for all ages and abilities 

Fun seated chair exercise sessions every Monday for all ages and abilities to popular tunes, with free parking and disabled access at Hermitage Village Hall, Pinewood Crescent, Hermitage, Thatcham RG18 9WL

We show exercises from front & side views and offer different levels to follow according to ability.

Suitable for:

• Anyone wanting to be part of a more inclusive and accessible class
• People who have been sedentary and want to gently ease back into exercise
• People with underlying health conditions (e.g. arthritis, Parkinson’s, MS, Fibromyalgia, COPD). Those in rehabilitation from illness/operations, or living with chronic fatigue as part of another condition.
• Wheelchair Users
• Seniors

We allow an hour for the session, including an intro followed by around 45 minutes of exercise featuring:

• A warm-up routine
• Mobilising Exercises
• Aerobic Exercises
• Strengthening Exercises
• Stretch
• Relaxation/Visualisation
• Revitaliser
• Cool down

Stay afterwards for a complimentary cuppa and biscuit, and to socialise and make new friends– usually a half hour or so.

Accessing exercise is not always easy, especially if you have limited mobility or are housebound. We believe exercise should be for ALL, regardless of age or ability. MOVEability online seated chair exercise and seated total body strengthening/movement classes and on-site seated chair exercise classes are aimed at people of ANY age from late teens to seniors. A local award-winning social enterprise organisation, our classes suit MANY, including those with limited mobility, people who live a sedentary lifestyle and want to ease back into exercise but don’t enjoy the gym or conventional fitness classes, or anyone who wants to be part of a more inclusive and accessible class.
