Out & About Service - Age UK Berkshire

Last updated: 01/06/2022

Out & About is a free service to help over 55s’ find new friends, discover new pastimes or rekindle old hobbies in their local community.

Do you want to make new friends, start a new hobby or get back into something you once loved to do? Whether you are unsure of what is around, feeling a bit uncertain or are simply new to the area, we understand that getting out and about can be tricky and we are here to help. We are here to support you in having a confident, full and active social life. Our aim is to link you up to something of your interest in your local community. We will assist you in taking the first steps towards it, and someone from our team can be available to come with you to make that first time easier.

This is a free, short-term service offered to people over the age of 55 who live in the Bracknell, Reading or West Berkshire. Whilst we will do what we can to help you get out & about we are not able to provide any additional mobility assistance as part of this service. Therefore we ask that you are independently mobile.
