Kennet District Scouts
Scouting in the Kennet Scout District provides life long skills, fun and adventure for young people between the ages of 6 to 18 in the Newbury, Kintbury and Hungerford areas. There are eight Scout Groups providing some 650 young people with the benefits of scouting. Network Scouts run by Berkshire County Scouts for 18 - 25 year olds.
We are entirely run by volunteers, and have waiting lists for most of our sections, our only way of getting more young people involved is to recruit more adult volunteers, and there are many flexible roles available.

We are the UK's biggest mixed youth organisation. We change lives by offering 6- to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities. Scouting helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
