About the society:

The Society was founded in 1981 to provide the Newbury and West Berkshire area of the UK with a focal point for all those interested in astronomy, regardless of age, experience or expertise.

The Society holds regular speaker and beginners meetings from September to June and your annual subscription covers entry to all meetings. If you are not a member, but would like to come along to any meeting you will be most welcome at any meeting. (a nominal charge is made for non-members)

Where to go

Notes

Beginners meetings are for people with no prior knowledge of Astronomy and are held on the third Wednesday of each month from September to May, from 7.00pm to 9pm, at St. Mary's Church Hall, Greenham RG19 8RZ.

Main meetings are for people with some prior knowledge of Astronomy and are held on the first Friday of each month from September to June, from 7.30pm to 10.00pm, at the West Berkshire Mencap Centre in Newbury, off Enborne Road RG14 6AT
