Is your service accessible? (consider in general terms how you make your service accessible, in addition to any specific premises issues)
The After School Club room has an accessible toilet and changing facilities. The After School Club also access other areas of Brookfields School. Both the After School Club and Brookfields School are accessible for children who are wheelchair users or who have mobility difficulties. Other school buildings also have accessible shower/changing/toilet facilities. For young people with a hearing impairment, the rooms are acoustically treated. The buildings and grounds are also accessible to young people with a visual impairment. Throughout the school there is manual handling equipment and staff working at the club have been trained in Manual Handling.
What are the eligibility criteria for your service? (please include any age restrictions, types of need catered for etc)
Applications are welcome from parents of children who attend the school. The Extended Services Manager and ASC Manager work together to examine if we can meet the needs of your child, taking further advice from teachers, Behaviour Support Staff, Sensory Resource staff, school nurses etc. We are currently unable to cater for children/young people with complex medical needs that require specialised staff

Parents may contact the Extended Services Manager at any time to find out more details about the clubs at any time. Due to the popularity of the club we do hold a waiting list.
What is your service standard for responding to referrals/accessing services? (include timescales for responding to referrals and accessing services)
The Extended Services Manager will contact you once you have expressed an interest in using the After School Club to discuss whether a place can be offered immediately or whether your child’s name will be added to the waiting list if there is no space on the evening/s you have requested.

Feedback and complaints procedure
If parents have a complaint about the After School Club, Brookfields School’s Complaint procedure are followed. If parents have any concerns about the After School Club, they are encouraged to speak with the Extended Service Manager as soon as possible. Parents will be sent an evaluation sheet where they will be invited to give feedback on the service provided.
How will I know my child will be safe using this service?
All After School Club staff are recruited using the Schools Safer Recruitment Policy and procedures. All staff have been trained in Safeguarding and Child Protection. After School Club staff are experienced members of Brookfields who have been trained in the support and guidance young people with learning difficulties and additional needs.. The club reports directly to the School Governors.
