Dramatised Story Telling, Life Skills and Leisure Opportunities - Friday
Last updated: 17/01/2022
"Holistic approach for meeting the needs of each individual to engage and achieve in a safe and supporting environment"
We endeavour to meet the needs of each individual regardless of their ability so that they may experience exciting opportunities, friendships, fun, creativity, confidence and increased sense of empowerment to be all that they can and want to be.
Dramatised Story Telling is an opportunity to develop original stories or base our stories on existing favourites. The group devise and develop their script with staff, research and create costumes, props and scenery and perform a different story each year. The plays are filmed by Interakt Film Club and the music is organised by the DJ group, every-one takes part and supports each other.
In the afternoon the group takes part in a variety of independent living skills activities like cooking, laundry care, travel training and safety in the community. During the warmer weather there are lots of opportunities to take part in local leisure activities or on outings which take us further afield.
Interakt also offers one to one support within the session, leisure based activities or job coaching.

- Referral Details
Interakt does not require a referral as our sessions are for everyone and if an individual has very complex needs then with support from WBC Adult Social Care a specific care plan will be commissioned.
- Other notes
For those transitioning from College to Adult Social Care contact WBC Adult Social Care and request a list from the transitioning team which will have details of Day Providers, their activities, sessions, days and times. Remember that your provision is your choice therefor make time to research and book a free taster session with those providers which you want to explore further. For those already in the Adult Social Care sector who require another service from a different provider to what they already have, contact Adult Social Care and ask to speak to your social worker or care manager with your query or request. The most important thing is for each individual to access a service that is of their own choice that each individual is informed of a variety of provisions in order to make an informed choice which works best for them.
