Reading and District Welsh Society

Last updated: 03/10/2023
The Reading and District Welsh Society provides a focus for those who live in the area to discuss Welsh culture and the latest news from home.
Meetings are held during the months of March, April, May, June, October, November and December. The AGM is held in September to select new Society officers. The Society has returned to in person meetings in the hall from March 2023, however some meetings will continue to be held on Zoom if useful.
The programme is varied and different every year, as per the wishes of the committee members. The highlight of the year is the St David’s Day dinner held as near to the 1st March as possible.
All meetings are held in English, but there are sufficient Welsh speaking members for discussion over a cup of tea to revert to the mother tongue.
Membership is extended to all regardless of where your roots lie.
