West Berkshire Mencap Mulberry Garden

Last updated: 01/06/2023
The Mulberry Garden is a therapeutic garden skills project for Adults with Learning Disabilities based at The Mencap Centre, Enborne Gate.
The Mulberry Garden provides real work for its trainees with a customer base that is well established, providing such services as spring, summer and autumn bedding plants for sale, hanging baskets made to order and Christmas decorations made to order.
We carry out woodwork projects using recycled wood. Things we create include bird houses, bird tables, garden furniture, planters and also shabby chic furniture for your home. This is all made to order.
The Mulberry Garden runs a Healthy Options course, where all service users are encouraged to think about growing and eating food in a healthy way. This runs alongside the therapeutic gardening and greenhouse horticulture work, where the service users are using active gardening to improve their physical health.
