Loose Ends Newbury - Serving the homeless and vulnerable in Newbury

Last updated: 02/10/2023

Loose Ends Newbury is a drop-centre in Newbury serving food to the homeless and vulnerable. The preparation and serving of healthy, hot meals is the group's main function but food parcels, toiletries and clean clothes are also offered to all those in need.

The volunteers strive to provide a safe, friendly atmosphere where people can socialise.  Clients are often homeless or ‘sofa surfing’, may have addictions, suffer from a mental illness or are on low incomes.

With the lifting of COVID restrictions on July 19th 2021 we made the decision to return to providing sit down meals to clients and to revert as much as possible to the pre-Covid offering with clients able to collect food parcels and suitable clothes.

We will continue to take sensible precautions to keep the environment as safe as possible. The tables have been spaced apart.  We will of course be monitoring the situation and will respond as necessary to any government advice
