Bats at the Museum

Last updated: 14/04/2023

A walk by local bat expert James Shipman about the life of these amazing creatures. Did you know bats can live for up to 30 years? James explains where they live, how they fly in the dark, and why they are so important and protected by law.

After a brief talk outside the Museum, James will help us see and hear several species that emerge at dusk nearby (weather dependent).

Places are limited. Tickets (£5 per person) must be purchased in advance: www.westberkshireheritage.org/whats-on

Please note: there will be no access to West Berkshire Museum before, during or after the event.

The meeting point for the walk is at the front of West Berkshire Museum, outside the main entrance (on the wide pavement). The event starts promptly at 9.30pm.
