Swings & Smiles - OFSTED short breaks

We run sessions after school and twice a month on a Saturday where children can come and spend time with their friends. Play leaders run lots of activities to keep everyone busy including music and cooking.
After school groups cost £10 per session and must be booked and paid for in advance, per term. Saturday sessions are £45 per day and half days are £25.
All respite is for children aged 5 years and older, the team at Swings & Smiles will work with families to get to know children prior to them attending these groups. We ask that before a child attends a respite session they visit our family play sessions 2 times.

We have a wheelchair friendly venue including an accessible wheelchair swing in our garden. We have ceilings hoisted fitted across our sensory room along with a portable hoist which can be used in other areas of the building. Our changing room is fitted with a hoist and a height adjustable changing table. We have plenty of spaces for fun activities including our sensory room and activity room.

In order to access respite families must first register with Swings & Smiles and then complete a copy of our care plan form. 2 family play sessions must be attended before respite.

We provide many opportunities for play, cooking, art, sport and much more. We have a personal care room with adjustable hoist. Our garden is totally secure and the building is on one level. We have ceiling hoists across our sensory room. We are now OFSTED registered which allows us to offer respite to children from 5-18.
