City Arts Newbury - Copper Foil embossing with Sarah Jane Gordon
Sheets of thin copper foil will be used to create designs, inspired by patterns and shapes in nature, with dimension and texture through the method of embossing using simple hand tools.
You will finish your work by using heat to obtain a range of beautiful colours. The workshop is aimed at complete beginners and all materials and tools will be provided.

Currently the building is a pretty basic facility, with workshop, basic kitchen and toilet facilities on the ground floor. There is an upper floor, which the group occasionally use for workshops, so we gather information on mobility etc in the booking process to help us ensure we locate the workshops appropriately.

Given our current state (a basic facility but with great workshops, only open when workshops are on) - this facility is probably best recommended for people without severe physical or educational needs, and who are able to integrate with minor adjustments /a little extra help and care from our staff/teachers.
