FarmBuddies

Last updated: 03/07/2023
FarmBuddies, a Social Enterprise, arranges for accompanied individuals or small groups with any mild or moderate additional need, aged 9-90yrs, to visit farms in the local area one day a week to do a variety of regular farm jobs including animal care according to age, choice and ability under farmer supervision.
What is Social Farming?
Social Farming ('SF') is the practice of offering family farms and smallholdings as a form of social service. The farm remains a typical working farm where people in need of support can benefit from participation in the farm's activities. It also reconnects farmers with their local communities.
Why look at the Social Farming option?
There is a relaxing and socially inclusive atmosphere while working or in break time that helps people and builds self-worth.
