Stay and Play – Calcot and Theale

Informal play session for carers, parents and children under 4years. This is an opportunity for you and your child to meet other parents and children while exploring a range of play and craft activities to support your child’s learning and development. Newbies – Calcot and Burghfield

An informal  drop in group for parents, carers and non-mobile babies.  Breastfeeding support is available at these groups.

Messy Play – Purley on Thames Term time only

A group for parents, carers and children up to 4 years. A range of messy play activities including paint, water, food and foam. It is recommended that you wear old clothes to this session. Book via https://booking.westberks.gov.uk/family_hubs_events.html#/event_list

Other sessions  which can be in a group or virtual include toilet learning, introducing solids, postnatal and antenatal, baby massage, wellbeing groups and support groups for parents/carers of children with SEN.

Breastfeeding support is available 1:1 on request.

Family Learning courses are run on selected dates throughout the year including Cooking and Nutrition, Boost ( Self-esteem and self-confidence) and Parenting.

For families who require extra support  1:1 support from a Family Support Worker is available.

The Family Wellbeing Hub is registered and inspected by Ofsted.

Feedback and complaints procedure

The centre will provide the best possible service for the children in their care and for parents/carers. We therefore will provide parents/carers with a means of making a complaint. How will I know my child will be safe using this service?

The centre recognises it has a duty to ensure arrangements are in place for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children . The centre ensures we practice safe recruitment in checking suitability of staff and volunteers to work with children including full DBS checks on all staff and volunteers. Health and Safety is a major priority and both buildings and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained.
