Watermill Theatre - FREE Wellbeing creative sessions on Wednesdays
At Home With The Watermill Theatre is a selection of free online resources created by The Watermill's Outreach team and a host of other leading theatre professionals. From Monday 20 April, we will be sharing free online Zoom sessions, activities and creative resources on the theme of writing. Read on to find out what's in store!
Getting creative can be a useful way to enhance wellbeing and these weekly Wednesday sessions delivered online via Zoom will focus on looking after our emotional and mental health in a gentle, relaxed and fun way. Each session will have a different theme and everyone is welcome to join in. Whether you are a family with children or an adult isolating alone, we would like to offer this opportunity as a chance for some creative connection.
The first session, 'Creative Reflections' will be led by Louise Best, The Watermill's Community Associate (maternity cover). The focus of the session will be feelings - it is ‘okay to feel what you are feeling’ – whatever that may be. Using creative therapeutic techniques, the session will offer an opportunity for us to take some time to gently process the impact of the last few weeks.
