Workshop: Have a go at braiding

Saturday 16 September | West Berkshire Museum | 11am - 2pm | Free, drop-in Learn the fundamentals of ‘fill the gap’ braiding with members of the Kennet Valley Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.. Lucet and Marudai braiding demonstrations will bring the craft to life. The Kennet Valley Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers was formed in 1977 and has a growing membership of 80. Our members are dedicated to a range of textile skills, that include core skills in weaving, spinning and dyeing, with associated crafts such as braiding, knitting, lace-making and more. Experience ranges from beginner to expert and new members are always welcome to join our group of enthusiasts. The Guild meets once a month at St. Mary’s Church Hall, Greenham. https://www.kennet-valley-guild.com These workshops are suitable for adults and children (accompanied by an adult).
