Supporting Care Leavers and Homeless Young People aged 16-25

We help young people bridge the critical gap between leaving care and independent living.  We also help young people move on to independence after being homeless.

More than 11,000 young people, aged 16-18, left care last year.  These young people are more likely to be homeless and sleep rough.

We have three family sized homes in quiet residential areas in Thatcham.  We house young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or have been in foster care.  Each house has a live in supervisor and, whilst with us, our young people are provided with individually tailored one to one support according to their specific needs.

Often the young people come to our charity with emotional and behavioural issues and have experienced some type of trauma early in life.  This can have a lasting impact on their abilities to trust and form meaningful relationships.

We provide a safe and comfortable home, life skills and work and learning opportunities that will support them physically and emotionally as they step towards our ultimate aim: successful independent living.
