The EDF Energy Trust is an independent Charitable trust that helps to combat poverty and in particular fuel poverty, by helping people who are struggling to pay for their electricity and gas.

What does the EDF Energy Trust offer?
The Trust awards grants to individuals and families who submit a successful application to:
Help with domestic gas and electricity debts and other priority household debts, e.g rent arrears or council tax debts
Purchase essential household items e.g. washing machines or cookers
Provide other forms of financial assistance, e.g. bankruptcy deposits or funeral expenses
Which EDF Energy customers qualify?
You can apply to the Trust if you are an EDF Energy customer in need, hardship or other distress, and particularly if you are unable to meet or pay charges for your supply of domestic gas or electricity services.

If you receive an award from the Trust, you can apply again to the Trust after two years.
