Berkshire West Breathing Space
Last updated: 16/03/2023
The Berkshire West Breathing Space is a safe, welcoming and supportive space for anybody aged over 18 experiencing emotional distress and struggling to cope. Whatever the reason for you feeling distressed or in crisis, we're here to help.
We are available to provide support every evening of every week including bank holiday's from 5pm to 11pm. You can access Breathing Space in person at our central Reading hub, online via video chat, or on the phone.
You can talk to our staff about how you're feeling and what is concerning you. We'll listen to you and help you develop a plan to stay safe and well including coping strategies. We'll also help you to navigate local services and opportunities that can provide further help and support.
You can talk to one of our peer supporters, who all have their experiences of mental health crisis and a real understanding of what it is like.
If you'd like to, you can also just sit in The Breathing Space Hub and enjoy a break from the outside world. It is comfortable space to relax, and refreshments are available.
Please call or text us if you would like to access support from Breathing Space, of if you would like to refer someone for support.
