Exhibition: Hope and Pride - What is Pride and why do we need it?
Last updated: 21/04/2023
To coincide with Newbury’s first Pride and the 50th anniversary of the UKs first recognised Pride, West Berkshire Museum and members from LGBTQIA+ communities have developed an exhibition on the history of Pride. The exhibition will also share LGBTQIA+ experiences reflecting on what it has been like to grow up, or live, in and around Newbury.
On display will be loaned objects that represent people’s experiences and affirm their identities. Runs 2 July 2022 – 26 November 2023. The Museum is open Wednesday to Sunday 10am - 4pm. Entry is free.
Entry to West Berkshire Museum is free but donations are most welcomed. https://www.westberkshireheritage.org/donation
