The Family Hubs offer a range of services to support families, parents and carers of children aged 0 - 19 years old (0-24 for SEND):  Under 5's direct work - over 5's signposting and information

Provide experiences which take account of, and respond to, the child’s developmental needs and which allow each child to make progress related to his/her own abilities.

The centre is committed to the inclusion of all children and has regard for the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA).  

Provision for children with special educational needs is a matter for everyone in the setting.  The staff will work in order to enable each child to meet their full potential and endeavour to give each family the support they need.

The hub is accessible to wheelchair users and to those who have mobility issues, and our outreach services are similarly accessible (please contact us about outreach). Please feel free to contact us in advance to discuss your / your child’s specific needs and we will do our best to work with you to resolve any access issues.

Referrals for support can be made by parents/carers and professionals

Some special services including support from the Hub's family support workers are accessed by referrals from health and other professionals.

Feedback and complaints procedure

The Hub will provide the best possible service for the children in their care and for parents/carers. We therefore will provide parents/carers with a means of making a complaint. Our complaints procedures will follow the West Berkshire Council protocol. Please contact the Centre on 0163531143.

How will I know my child will be safe using this service?

The Hub recognises it has a duty to ensure arrangements are in place for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children . The hub ensures we practice safe recruitment in checking suitability of staff and volunteers to work with children including full DBS checks on all staff and volunteers. Health and Safety is a major priority and all buildings and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained.
