Each patient will be assessed to identify whether the service can best suit their needs and support them with their recovery goals. The service is non-discriminatory and works towards finding the best solutions for meeting individual needs.

The following patient profiles may be suitable for admission:

  • Severe and enduring mental health conditions who require rehabilitation
  • Current low level risk of harm to themselves or others
  • Frequent or long-term inpatient care
  • Requires detention under the Mental Health Act
  • Historically displayed disturbed behaviour potentially leading to episodes of assault, self-harm or other significant high risk activities
  • Additional complex issues such as personality difficulties, forensic histories, mild cognitive disability or substance misuse
