Ways into Work (Supported Employment Service)

Last updated: 22/04/2024

Ways into Work provides a range of Supported Employment services.  We support people who have a disadvantage in finding employment and our mission is ‘To Change Lives One Job at a Time’.  You can read about what we do here: https://www.waysintowork.com/

Each of our funders determine the eligibility for our programmes of support. Right now, April 2024, in West Berks we are working on a project supporting young people and the referrals are made though the West Berks SEN team. The project provides the opportunity to work alongside a Job Coach who will get to know what you like to do and match your skills, experience and aspirations to job roles in the local area.  We work with lots of employers and are always making new relationships, which helps in our aim to get our clients into work as soon as possible.

We also offer Supported Internships which are aimed at young people aged 16 to 24 who learn better by 'doing'.  Instead of being in school or college young people are placed in the work place for 3 days a week with the support of a Job Coach - and have one day in education learning employment related work and life skills.  Read about Supported Internships on our website here: https://www.waysintowork.com/supported-internships

Projects and therefore eligibility sometimes change though – you can check where we are working and what the eligibility criteria is on our website: https://www.waysintowork.com/eligibility-information
