Berkshire School Of English

The Berkshire School of English was founded in 2015 as the ‘One Stop English Shop’ in Berkshire to work with individuals, their families, schools, and businesses to improve English skills.
Our courses are specifically designed to help learners to live and work in the UK. They are learner centred and designed to ensure that the content is up-to-date and relevant for learners’ lives. They are designed to help learners to communicate effectively within their community, workplace and wider world. BSE is a really special place to learn.
For the last five years, local authority funding has enabled us to bring free of charge learning opportunities to eligible residents of Berkshire.
The Covid-19 crisis has accelerated the need and demand for online learning. It may have changed the delivery of adult community learning forever. The majority of our learners are considered vulnerable; most are of BAMER backgrounds who are at a much higher risk of catching the virus. The uncertainty of a safe return to classroom learning has driven BSE to hasten our development of online learning. This year all of our courses will be delivered online
