Ways and Means - Learning in a working environment
Ways and Means Trust have a warehouse in Rotherfield Peppard where adults can come and learn new skills, possibly in the warehouse where there is a light commercial packing and repackaging operation, which specialises in contract packing, for example, shrink-wrapping, collation, hand finishing, assembling point-of-sale displays, and packing products for retail sales. Or maybe in the canteen operation, which has a mixture of domestic and commercial catering equipment.
This allows skills for independent living to be learnt first hand, as well as increasing experience for catering employment opportunities. Teaching social skills is very much a part of what the Trust do. All who attend are taught the importance of respect for each other and themselves.
