Breakfast and After School Clubs

After school clubs are clubs which provide children with a range of activities at the end of the school day. These clubs may be run by schools themselves, on the school site, or they may be run by private or voluntary organisations.

Some schools and private / voluntary organisations run clubs prior to the start of the school day, usually known as breakfast clubs.

You may choose for your child to be included in a mainstream after school club, or you may prefer to consider a more specialist environment such as the clubs run by Mencap and other similar organisations.

Some schools offer homework clubs after school where children have the opportunity to get help with their homework.
